Teen tuttava mustriga salli, seekord kingituseks ja meriinost.
I am making a scarf with a familiar pattern, this time for a present and from merino.

Mustri omadus on see, et kududes tundub üsna kole, pärast pesu ja kuivatamist aga muutub kenaks.
The pattern has this peculiarity that it looks quite ugly but becomes nice after washing and blocking.

Palmikutega sall/Cabled scarf

See sall sai valmis juba kuu aega tagasi. See on osa millestki, millest räägin kunagi hiljem. Praegu teen ühe teise salli kingituseks ja varsti alustame Skinny Wool Scarf salli kooskudumist.
This scarf was completed already a month ago. It is a part of something that I will reveal later. Now I am going to knit another scarf as a present and we will soon start Skinny Wool Scarf KAL.

Lemmikrätikuid/One of my favourite shawls

See pole ainus lemmikrätik, aga siiski. Külmal ajal on just väga sobiv. Täna oli hommikul lumi maas, panin selga talvemantli selle rätikuga. Kootud 2013.a. lõpus.
This is not my only favourite shawl but nevertheless. It is perfectly suitable for cold seasons. It had been snowing in the morning and I put on my winter coat with this shawl. Made in the end of 2013.

 

Lemmiksviitrid/Favourite sweaters

Vaatasin, mida ma praegu kõige rohkem kannan. Jutt on õhukestest sviitritest. Soojad on omaette kategooria.
I paid attention to what I am wearing most in the current season. It is about ligh sweaters. The warm once are a separate category.

Vasakult alustades esimene sai kootud sel suvel Vilniuses. Keskmise tegin peaaegu aasta tagasi, see on mohääri ja peenvillase kombinatsioon. Parempoolne on Angora 2 + peenvillane, kootud 2016.a. lõpus.
The first from left was completed this summer in Vilnius. I made the middle one almost a year ago, it is a combination of mohair and lightweight wool. The right one is Angora 2 + lightweight wool from the end of 2016.

Salli kooskudumine detsembris/Scarf KAL in December

Paljudele Ravelrys meeldis hiljutine sall (kliki kuvatõmmisel).
The recent scarf was liked by many on Ravelry (click on the screenshots).

 

Mõned küsisid, kas tuleb ka kooskudumine. Teeme Detsemrbri alguses. Annan varsti teada.
Some asked whether we shall make a KAL. We shall do that in the beginning of December. I will let you know.

Mummudega sviiter/Bobbled sweater

Siin ta on. Kulunud on vähem kui 3 tokki Angora 2 (kahekordselt).
Here it is. I've used up less than 3 balls of Angora 2 (held double).

Sall/Scarf

Kunagi TFW 2015 kollektsioonis oli selline sviiter:
Once long ago I had this sweater in my TFW 2015 collection:

Selle mustriga on nüüd valims sall ja tuleb ka sviiter, aga pisut teistsuguse tegumoega (sellest kunagi hiljem).
Now a scarf with this pattern is completed and I am making a sweater again but with a slightly different fit (will talk about it later).

 

 

Jälle kaksikud/Twins again

Mõni muster või mall hakkab meeldima ja lähebki nii, et kordan seda erinevate lõngadega. Poolpatentkoes sall on täielik klassika. Vasakpoolse salli põhilõng on peenike mohäär (100 g/1000 m), parempoolse oma aga Angora 2 (100 g/750 m). Kontrastne lõng on mõni peenvillane (100 g/1400 m või veel peenem).
Some stitch patterns or models become favourite and it happens so that I repeat them in different yarns. Half-brioche stitch scarf is classical. The main yarn in the one on the left is thin mohair (100 g/1000 m) and in the one on the right it is Angora 2 (100 g/750 m).  The contrasting yarn is some laceweight wool (100 g/1400 m or even thinner).

 

Kahepoolne/Reversible

See on tuttav muster. Koon praegu salli. Sallide puhul on oluline, et kumbki pool oleks viisakas. Muidugi see on maitseasi, mõnikord on nn pahem pool ilusam kui parem. Aga antud juhul ei vaidleks vist keegi vastu, et on kahepoolne muster.
This is a familiar stitch pattern. I am making a scarf now. It is relevant for scarves that both sides look decent. Of course it is a matter of taste, somtimes is so-called wrong side nicer than right side. But I doubt anyone would argue in this case that this is a reversible pattern.

 

Sügisvaade/Autumn view

Here is a glimpse of the half-brioche stitch top.You can observe autumn in the neigbour's gardern, too.

Salliga on lugu nii, et kõik oli justkui kena, aga mulle tundus, et kude võiks olla õhulisem. Harutasin ära ja võtsin 5,5 mm vardad (enne kudusin 5 mm-ga). Nüüd tundub parem.
As for the scarf, everything looked fine but I had a feeling the fabric could be more airy. I ripped it and started over with 5.5 mm needles (pereviously I wokre with 5 mm). It looks better now.

Jälle sall/Scarf again

Mul on kaks poolpatentkoes salli teravate otstega. Kootud paar aastat tagasi. Eelmisel aastal tegin veel ühe kolleegile kingituseks.
I have two scarves with pointed ends in half-brioche stitch. I made them a couple of years ago. Last yer I made one more as a present to my colleague.

 

Praegu on töös selline sall (mitte midagi erilist, laius on kogu aeg sama). Lõngad on Angora 2 ja peenike villane. Kogu saladus ongi selles, et üks lõng on jämedam ja kontrastne on päris peenike. Eelmisete sallide puhul on põhilõng mingi sokilõng või poolvillane.
Now I have this scarf on my needles (nothing special, the width is constant). The yarns are Angora 2 and laceweight wool. This is the whole secret: one yarn is heavier and the contrasting yarn is quite thin. The previous scarf have sockyarn or wool-blend as the main yarn.

Poolpatent/Half-brioche

Jätkame poolpatendiga! See lühikeste varrukatega sviiter on tegelikult juba valmis, aga pildid on eilsed.
Carrying on with half-broiche! In fact, this short sleeved sweater is already completed but the pictures are from yesterday.

Selle sügise rätikuid ja salle/Some shawls and scarves of the Autumn

Mulle meeldib, et tahvelarvutis saab kerge vaevaga teha kollaaže. Mõtlesin, et kokkuvõtte mõttes panen kokku mõned rätikud ja sallid.
I like that tablet allows making collages in a very easy way. I decided to put together several shawls and scarves as a kind of sum-up.

Poolpatent/Half-brioche stitch

Poolpatentkude on üks lemmikmustreid.
Half-brioche stitch is one of my favourite patterns.

Pildil ei paista, aga koos on keskmine hall Angora-2 ja hästi tumesinine peenvillane. Üldmulje on pigem tumehall.
The picture does not reveal that it is a combination of Angora-2 and a very dark blue laceweight wool. A general impression is rather dark-grey.
