The scarf is completed. The length is about 180 cm. I have not yet weighed it and don't know how much yarn was used.

Stockholmi rätik linasest/Stockholm shawl from linen

Suvel tegin Mezgimo Zona poe jaoks Stockholmi rätiku linasest. Lõngasponsor ja fotograaf Sonata. Paistab üsna universaalne muster olevat, saab kududa eri lõngadest. Varsti tuleb õpetus Ravelrysse.
In summer I made a linen version of Stockholm shawl for Mezgimo Zona. Yarn sponsor and photographer Sonata. It appears to be quite a universal stitch pattern that looks nice in many different yarns. Ravelry pattern coming soon.

 

 

 

 

Veel kord reklaam/Advertising again

Mitmed küsivad, kus registreeruda rätikute kursusele. Vastus on: Käsitöö toimetuses. Kohti veel on.
Several people have asked where to register for the shawl class. The answer is: in the office of Käsitöö. There are some vacancies.

 

Mis puutub kudumisse, jakk ootab, proovime selga ja vaatame, kui palju lõnga on vaja juurde. Niikaua alustasin üht väga lihtsat salli Diteksase jaoks.

As far as the cardi is concerned, we shall try it on and see how much additional yarn is needed. Meanwhile I started a very simple scarf for Diteksas.

 

Lõnga ei jätku/Not enough yarn

Paistab, et lõnga ei jätku. Esialgu arvestasin, et on väiksem suurus ja sellest kogusest piisab, aga ega rinnaümbermõõt üksinda ei tähenda midagi. 400 g-st (100 g/450 m, 2-kordselt) on vähe, tuleb veel tellida 100 g juurde.
Apparently, it is not enough yarn. At first I believed that it a smaller size and this quantity will be sufficient but bust circumference alone does not matter. 400 g (100 g/450 m, held double) is not enough, I have to order 100 g more.

You can decide from the bottom picture how much yarn is left.

Linane jakk/Linen cardi

Jälle jakk koleeegile. Sama linane, aga teine värv. Natuke teine kalkulatsioon ka, muidu idee on sama.
A cardy for another colleague. The same linen but different colour. A slightly different calculation, too, but the idea is the same.

On juba kolm kudujat, kes proovivad erinevatest lõngadest (maavillasest, linasest ja alpaka-siidi segust). Vaatame, mis välja tuleb. Võib-olla teen sellise mohäärist. Õpetus tulemas.
There are three knitters who try it from different yarns (country wool, linen and alpaca-silk blend). We shall see how it turns out. Maybe I will make one in mohair, too. Pattern coming.

Mis lõpuks välja tuli/This is what came out

Mäletate ehk seda postitust. Väga tore muster. Sellega tasub veel eksperimenteerida. Lõpuks tuli välja selline suur, ühe pika otsaga, asümmeetriline rätik.
You probably remember this post. A wondreful stitch. It is worth experimenting with it further. Finally, what came out is this large asymmetrical shawl with one long end.

 

 

 

Nagu varem öeldud, lõng on Diteksasest pärit polüamiidi pael, arvan, et 400-500 m/100 g, vardad 5 mm (see muster tahab  jämedamat varrast). Oleks huvitav näha seda mustrit mõne muu lõngaga kootuna, eelkõige villasega. Pesu järel rätik ei veninud, kuid muster avanes rohkem. Kui keegi tahab läbi kududa, andke palun märku. Teen kindlasti õpetuse, aga kena oleks, kui keegi testiks.
As stated earlier, the yarn is a polyamide ribbon from Diteksas, I assume about 400-500 m/100 g, needles 5 mm (this pattern asks for thicker needles). It would be good to see the pattern in a different yarn, first and foremoste in wool. The shawl did not stretch after washing but the fabric opened up. If anyone wants to try it out, please let me know. I will certanly write up a pattern but it would be nice if somebody would test it.
