It is usually specified when one is talking about summer yarns because in our climate warm, that is, winter yarns are unmarked, it is a default case. I was thinking whether to start something from summer yarn or from a warm wool. My choice usually is not dependent on the season or on the current weather. If I have a good idea for mohair, then I work with mohair in the middle of the summer. I decided that I will use wool. Summer yarns can wait.

Anna, I just finished working on the design for a publisher and same thoughts were going through my mind... to start a project with wool (it is still chilly around here), or to start playing with linen or some other summer yarn? I think I will too start a project using wool yarn.
Lidia, thanks! Wool is my favourite fiber. The winter was quite long here and I cannot say this is a typical April weather that we are having now. In any case, a big woolen jacket is very handy in our climate.
The color you chose is so rich and beautiful! I am thinking about sand or light brown. Going to swatch tonight.
