Yet another example how two yarns that have the same weight and fibe composition (100 % cotton, 50 g/125 m) can be different. I have always stressed that the weight is important but fibe composition, twist and other such things matter quite a lot. Unlike the cotton described here and here, Capry (by Steinbach Wolle) does not want texture. I pondered then what kind of simple pattern would be suitable and made these eylets.
This pattern would be nice for shawls and scarves, have to try on wool, mohair, linen. I was also thinking whether to do all over eyelets and then decided to see how stockinette would look. Now it seems like a right idea. As for constrution, it is a so-called particular case of kimono (those who were in my previous class would understand). And tomorrow I am going to Raasiku with my Finnish knitting friends! Certainly there will be pictures and a story.
