Maybe you remember this post. I thought that maybe with a different, thinner and fluffier yarn (mohair-wool blend) the fabric would not curl so excessively and it will work.

 Kas see hall sviiter on meeles? Varsti näitan ka korralikke pilte. Niikaua aga koon endale samast lõngast, ainult musta ja pisut kitsama. Välimuselt jääb ikkagi suur kampsun, aga paar sentimeetrit võib külgedelt rahulikult ära koristada, mulje on parem.
Do you remember this grey sweater? I am going to show proper pictures soon. So far I am making another one for myself from the same yarn but in black and a slightly narrower one. The overall look of a large sweater will remain but I can diminish a couple of centimetres from the sides because it gives a better impression.

Sviiter ja rätikud, koos ja eraldi/Sweater and shawls, together and separately

Sviiter on valmis. Kulus 7 tokki ja pisut 8-ndat (Belle, Drops).
The sweater is finished. I used up 7 balls and a little bit of the 8th (Belle by Drops).

 

 

Ei olegi midagi erilist, tradistioonilised pildid (ei tea, millal saan enda seljas pildistatud). Arvasin, et võib samahästi pildistada koos hiljutiste rätikutega. Sviitri pind on sile (varrukate oma mitte, aga nad ei domineeri), seega saab kombineerida nii siledate kui reljeesete rätikutega.
Nothing special, just usual pictures (don't know when I will have modelled pictures). I thought I can photgraph it together with my recent shawls. The fabric of the sweater is smooth (to say nothing about the sleeves but they do not dominate), so one can match the sweater both with smooth and textured shawls.

Ei ole kaalunud. Kasutasin ära kõik villase jäägid ja lisasin veel ühte sobivat lõnga. Rätik pole kuigi suur. Kui õnnestub fotosessioon korraldada, siis näitan ka enda kaelas. Muuhulgas, on väga tõenäoline, et mees võtab selle endale. Meil on ühised värvid, mis teha! Ainult juurde kududa.
I have not weighed it yet. I used up all wool leftovers and added another suitable yarn. The shawl is not lage. If it would be possible to do a photosession, I will show modelling pictures. By the way, it is very probable that my husband will appropriate this shawl. What can you do if we have colours i common! Only to knit anothe one.

Seriaal on läbi/The series is over

Rätik sai valmis. Loodetavasti saan näidata varsti. Enne ärasõitu alustasin sviitrit, aga ei tahtnud reisile kaasa vedada, koon nüüd seda. Lõng on Belle (Drops), puuvillase ja linase segu. Praegu on veel palav villase või mohääisviitriga, puuvillane on päris sobiv.
The shawl is finished. Hopefully, I will be able to show it soon. Before my depature I had started a sweater but did ot want to drag it with me, so I am now working on this. The yarn is Belle (by Drops), a cotton-line blend. It is too early yet for a woollen or mohair sweater and a cotton sweater is quite practical.

Nagu näha, kõik on väga lihtne, klassikaline kaarega varrukas, aga varrukal on ripsitriibud. Triibiku idee meeldib mulle, triipudega saab mängida, nt tookord oli 1 rida ripsis (lõng ei talunud muid variante), siin on aga 3 rida ripskoes.
As you see, everything is quite simple, there is a classical set-in sleeve and it has some stripes in garter stitch. The idea I had in this sweater is quite nice, you can play with stripes, for instance, I had then 1 row of reversed stociette (the yarn did not tolerate any other options) and here I have 3 rows of garter stitch.

I have one sleeve done, the second one is in progress and then I have to continue the torso.
