I was knitting away and meanwhile having some doubts whether it is a right thing I am doing. Then I got yet another confrimation of the fact I know for quite a long time: sleeve, even in its initial stage, changes the whole picture quite substantially. So it appears I am getting it right.
As you can see, this yarn combination loves garter stitch.
The general view is a bit funny now because there is only one short sleeve and the second is absent yet.
This picture demonstrates more or less true colours.
The plan is to make garter stitch rib at the bottom. It is a lovely kind of ribbing where garter stitch is instead of purl stitches (it can also subtitute knit stitches). Actually, this yarn combination agrees with the usual ribbing, too, but since there is garter stitch on the shoulders and I have garter stitch stripes on the sides, it would be wise not to overdo it. We shall see whether it works.
