Teatavasti rätikud ja sallid on üsna paindlikud lõnga valiku suhtes. Sama muster, aga teine lõng, kas koostise või jämeduse poolest - ja mulje on hoopis teine. Mind huvitas, milline oleks Ligita rätik Raasiku villasest, ja Katja võttiski kätte ja tegi ära, pilt tema blogist (rohkem vt siin).
As it is well known, shawls and scarves are rather flexible as far as yarn choice is concerned. The same pattern with a different yarn (either another fiber composition or weight) and you get a totally different impression. I was curious how Ligita shawl would look in Raasiku wool and Katja took up the idea and made one; the picture is from her blog (see more here).
A couple of cays ago I receieved some pictures from Laimutė. She is not on Ravelry, therefore, she cannot show her pictures there but she allowed me to share them.
As you can guess, she used Raasiku factory yarn as well.
But yarn weight is different. Katja used 8/2 (100 g/400 m).
And Laimutė used approximately 100 g of 8/1(100 g/800 m) for the body and 8/2 for the edge (40 g). As I wrote in the pattern, the edge can be of a heavier yarn. So this is quite a nice solution.
