Sviiter kasvab/The sweater is progressing

Mõlemad varrukad on olemas, aga kere on natuke liiga lai, peaks harutama ja rohkem kahandama.
Both sleeves are done but the torso is a little bit too wide, so I have to rip it and to make more decreases.

Näitan paar kudumit. Piltnik Olivia Soans. Sviitri mustrit kavatsen kasutada ka muu lõngaga.
Here is a couple of knits. Pictures by Olivia Soans. I intend to use the sweater stitch pattern for another yarn, too.

Proovilapp/Swatch

Kombineerin lõngu, et saada tumehalli. Must on linase ja polüestri segu 100 g/280 m (Bodrum, Alize) ja tumehall on tundmatu peenvillane (oletan, et 100 g/1400-1500 m).
I am combining yarns in order to obtain dark grey. The black yarn is linen-polyester blend 200 g/280 (Bodrum, by Alize) and the dark grey one is unknown laceweight wool (100 g/1400-1500 m, I presume).

Topp on valmis/The top is completed

See oli tõepoolest lihtne ja probleemitu kudum. Loodetavasti saan varsti näidata enda seljas.
This was indeed a simple unproblematic knit. Hopefully, I will be able to show modeled photos soon.

 

Lihtne topp/A simple top

Kirjutasin korduvalt, et Eesti suvi võib olla jahe ja hea, kui on olemas mõni kerge sviiter. Praegu aga on täiesti suvine ilm, sellepärast hakkasin kuduma toppi.
I have written many times that Estonian summer may be chilly and some light sweater may be quite handy. However, right now it is a real summer weather and I started a top.

 

Üleval on mõned ripsi triibud, õlad kujundatud lühikeste ridadega, muidu on kõik väga lihtne.
There are some garter stithc stripes in the upper part and shoulders are shaped with short rows, otherwise everything is extremely easy.

Puuvillane sviiter/Cotton sweater

Sai nüüd valmis. Praegu on ilus ilm, aga mine tea, Eesti suvi võib olla ka selline, et mohäär on liiga palav, samas ilma varrukateta topist ei piisa.
I have completed the sweater. The weather is nice right know but you never know because Estonian summer may be such that mohair is too hot but a sleeveless top is not enough.

 

Natuke uudiseid/Some news

Käisin lühidalt Vilniuses, siin on traditsiooniline pilt Diteksasest. Sain sealt huvitavat villasegu (70 % vill, 30 % polüamiid), mis näeb välja nagu mohäär ja on üsna peenike, 100 g/1100 m. Tegin juba paar proovilappi ja kirjutan sellest kunagi hiljem.
I made a short trip to Vilnius, here is a traditional photo from Diteksas. I got some interesting wool blend there (70 % wool, 30 % polyamide) that looks like mohair and is rather thin, 100 g/1100 m. I've already made some swathes and will write about it later.

Kodus ootas mind saadetist Martin's Lab lõngafirmalt. Sain käsitsi värvitud BFL Soft Sock villase, hiljem mõtlen midagi välja ja teen õpetused ka. Roheline läheb rätikuks või salliks ja hall on mõeldud sviitriks.

At home a package from Martin's Lab had been waiting for me. I got some hand-dyed BFL Soft Sock wool and later will design something and write patterns. The emerald one is for a shawl or a scharf and the grey one for sweater.
