Palmikuid/Some cables

Üks palmikutega sviiter saab kohe valmis. All on umbes samasugune sviiter, mille tegin 2017.a.
A cabled sweater is about to be completed. An almost identical sweater I made in 2017 is underneath.

Tohutult suur ruum, täis publikut, lõngu, tarvikuid, kangaid. Paljudel on seljas ja kaelas omakootud asjad, kohe saab aru, et pole poest ostetud. Rääkisin juttu mitme lõngatootjaga. Sümpaatne on, et kohal olid väiketootjad, kes ise ketravad ja/või värvivad oma lõngu.
A huge space full with public, yarns, knitting and sewing equipment, fabrics. Many were wearing knits and you could immediately realize that this is not from a store. I talked to several yarn producers. It is extremely nice that there were many small scale producers who spin and/or dye their yanrs.

Üsna palju tõsist villast, mis rõõmustab mind.
There was quite a lot of no nonsence wool, which makes me happy.

  

See kapike on eriti kena, imeilus peenike villane, mida teeb Båvens Spinnhus. Meenutab Raasiku villast (Aade Lõng).

This shelf is particularly beautiful, very nice lightweight wool produced by Båvens Spinnhus. It reminds of Raasku wool (Aade Lõng).

Vahepeal sai valmis üks sall, aga praeguseks olgu mustvalge pilt. Hiljem kirjutan rohkem.
And inbetween a scarf has been completed, a black and white photo for now. I will write more later.

Skinny Wool Scarf

Lõnga nimi on Skinny Wool, sellepärast on sallil selline nimi. Võib võtta ka nii, et sobib peenike villane lõng, 100 g/500-800 m. Aade Lõng 8/1 sobiks kindlasti ka. Võiks proovida ka mohäärist.
The yarn is called Skinny Wool, hence the name of the scarf. It can be viewed also as suitable pattern for light yarns 100 g/500-800 m. I am sure Aade Lõng 8/1 would be suitable, too. And I would also try it from mohair.

 

 

 

Lõng/Yarn: Skinny Wool (Adéle's Mohair), 100 % meriino/merino, 25 g/165 m, 125 g.

Kuldnõela auhinna pidu/Ceremony of Kuldnõel award

Sain ootamatult Kristel Kuslapuult kutse Kuldnõela auhinna peole. Ta oli üks nominente. Ja ta võitiski selle! Ta esitas kollektsiooni, kus oli see sviiter.
Quite unexpectedly I got invited by Kristel Kuslapuu to attend Kuldnõel award ceremony (in the framework of Tallinn Fashion Week). She was shortlisted for the award. And she won it! She presented her collection where this sweater was one of the outfits.

Sama, aga teisest lõngast/The same but from a different yarn

Selle salli õpetus ilmus nüüd leedu keeles Diteksase kodulehel.
The pattern for this scarf appeared in Lithuanian on Diteksas site.

Nüüd teen natuke teise kalkulatsiooniga Skinny Wool-nimeliset meriinost (25 g/165 m). Leppisime kokku Adelega, et kirjutan ingliskeelse õpetuse ja soovitan seda lõnga. Lõng on tugevama keeruga, kui Diteksasest pärit kašmiir. See tähendab, et peab soonikut korralikult, seetõttu lõin rohkem mustrikordi, et kompenseerida kokkutõmbumist laiusesse.
Now I am making another one with a slightly different calculation from Skinny Wool named merino. Adele and I have an agreement that I will write an English-language pattern and recommend this yarn. It has a much stronger twist than the cashmere from Diteksas. This means that it holds ribbing quite well and that's why I casted on more pattern repeats to compensate contraction in the width.

 

 

Sallivabrik jätkab/Scarf factory is carrying on

Paari päevaga sai jämeda vardaga ja jämedast lõngast valmis sall.
In a couple of days I completed a scarf with thick needles and from thick yarn.

Praegu paistab päike, püüan muul ajal pildistada.  Lõng on Boucle Mohair (Adele's Mohair), 50 g/100 m, 3 kera. Vardad 6,5 mm.
The sun is shining now and I will try to take photos another time. The yarn is Boucle Mohair (Adele's Mohair), 50 g/100 m, 3 balls. Needles 6.5 mm

Tellimus valmis/An order is completed

Kiiresti ja jämeda vardaga sain valmis tellitud rätiku (vt rohkem juttu siin).
I completed the ordered shawl quite quickly with large needles (see more here). 

 

 

Sai üsna suur, aga kulus alla 100 g (alla 750 m) Angora 2 ja vastavalt metraaži järgi Haapsalu peenvillast (100 g/1400 m). Vardad 6 mm.
The shawl is rather large but I used up less then 100 g (that is, less than 750 m) of Angora 2 and respectively the equivalent yardage of Haapsalu laceweight wool (100 g/1400 m). Needles 6 mm.

Sallivabrik töötab/Scaf factory is functioning

Niisiis, veel üks sall Domus Linum poe jaoks. Muster nagu siin, aga lõng ja varras on midagi muud.
So here is anothers scarf for the Domus Linum store. The stitch pattern is like in this one but the yarn and needles are different.

 

Lõng/Yarn: Bambu Mohair (Adelé's Mohair), 25 g/110 m, 75 g.
Vardad/Needles: 6 mm

Mitmesugust/Various matters

Esiteks, Isekalduv rätik on osutunud populaarseks (võib-olla sellepärast, et õpetus on homseni tasuta). Igatahes on kahe päevaga  üle 1000 allalaadimise Ravelrys (kuvatõmmis tehtud täna varahommikul).
First of all, Isekalduv (Self-slanting) shawl appears to be popular (maybe because the pattern is free until tomorrow). Anyway, in two days there are more than 1000 downloads on Ravelry (printscreen made today early in the morning).

Teiseks, alustasin eile üht tellimust, Angora 2 ja Haapsalu kombinatsioonist sirbikujulist rätikut (mudel pole uus).
Second, yesterday I started an order, a sickle-shaped shawl (the pattern is not new) from the combination of Angora 2 and Haapsalu.

Kolmandaks, vahepeal sai valmis veel üks sall, mida näitan hiljem. Kavatsen teha veel selle salli õpetuse (pakkuge nimi!).
Third, meanwhile I have finished another scarf, will show it later. I am going to write a pattern for this scarf (please suggest a name!).

Võib kududa ka lõnga jääkidest. Kui üks värv saab otsa, kohe julgelt jätkata teisega.
You can make it from leftowers. Once you've run out of one colour, just continue in another.
