Sall kolleegile/A scarf for my colleague

Sall meriinovillasest, millest oli juttu eelmises postituses.

Kuidas lõng mõjutab üldmuljet/How different yarns create different mood

Tegin selle mustriga esimese sviitri Teksrena villasest (100 g/350 m). Lõng sobib selge joonega mustriteks (rombid, diagonaalid vms), reljeefsed mustrid aga "kaovad". Pseudopalmik oli sobiv lahendus.
I made the first sweater with this pattern from Teksrena wool (100 g/350 m). The yarn is suitable for patterns with clear outline (diamonds, diagonals etc), while textured pattern "disappear". A mock cable was a right solution.

Teine on peenemast lõngast, meriino-nailoni segu (100 g/400 m). See lõng sobib ka mõningateks reljeefseteks mustriteks. Pseudo-palmik on üsna nähtav ja pole ainult aimatav nagu eelmise sviitri puhul. Kannan seda üsna palju.
The second is from a thinner yarn, merino-nylon blend 8100 g/400 m). The yarn is suitable for certian textured patterns. The mock cable is quite visible, unlike in the previous sweater where it is just a hint. It gets a lot of wear.

Kolmas on mohääri-nailoni segu + peenike meriino. Minu arust ei kõlba see mohäärilõng sviitriteks ilma kaaslaseta, on liiga kerge. Tulemus on vastu valgust vaadates läbipaistev, kuid samas on muster üsna konkreetne ja hästi nähtav.
The third is a mohair-nylon blend + laceweight merino. In my view, this mohair is not suitable for sweaters without a companion, it is too light. The result is transparent when you look against the light, yet the pattern has a good definition and is quite visible.

Käistsi värvitud lõngast sall/Scarf from hand-dyed yarn

See lõng on Maiu kingitus sünnipäevaks, mis oli juba üpris ammu. Alles nüüd sain mahti sellest midagi kududa. Lõng on Perlata d'Australia (Lana Gatto), 100 % meriino, 50 g/233 m. Kulus natuke üle 2 toki, vardad 4,5 mm.
The yarn is a birthday present from Maiu but this was a while ago. I got to knit it only recently. The yarn is Perlata d'Australia (Lana Gatto), 100 % merino, 50 g/233 m, slightly over 2 balls, needles 4.5 mm. 

 

Abikaasa võttis rõõmsalt endale värvi tõttu. Praeguse ilma puhul väga sobiv sall, mitte väga paks.
My husband gladly appropriated it because of the colour. It is an ideal scarf for the present whether, not too thick.

Jälle sama/The same again

Enne ärasõitu alustasin sirbikujulist rätikut. See ei tahtnud aga edeneda. Justkui kõik on kena, samas ei tundu huvitav. Selgus, et vana tuttav muster sobib sellele lõngale hästi.
Before the trip I started a crescent shaped shawl. But somehow this was not progressing. It seemed that everything was fine but uninteresting. Then it came out that the old good pattern is quite suitable for this yarn.

 

Alustasin teist tokki, kokku on kolm. Tundub, et tuleb välja mitte väga pikk sall.
I started the second ball of yarn and there are three of them. It appears that I can get a not very long scarf.

Vilniuses/In Vilnius

Jälle tuttavas poes, traditsiooniline pilt. Kavatsen valida mitmeid lõngu tellimusteks ja endale ka mohääri tagavaraks.
In the familiar store again, a traditional picture. I will choose some yarn for the orders I've got and also some mohair for myself.

This is mohair-linen blend by Adele's Mohair, very pleasant to work with. A familiar pattern. The yarn is quite suitable for large holes.

Raske pildistada/Difficult to photograph

Glitteriga lõnga on raske pildistada, vähemalt mina ei oska.
It is difficult to photograph yarn with glitter, at least, I don't know how.

 

 

 

Midseason scarf, kahekordne õhksilmus/Midseason scarf, dobule yarnover

On küsitud, kuidas kududa tagasireas kahekordne õhksilmus. 1 pp, 1 pp tagumise aasa kaudu.
I was asked how to work double yarnover on wrong side. K1, k1 through back loop.

Oli suur laat, palju rahvast käis kohal, osteti lõngu, suheldi. Seletasin ja näitasin mõnele võrgulise rätiku õpetust. Nüüd sain uusi lõngu ja teen jälle paar asja Marianne's Mohair firmale.
It was a big fair, quite a lot of visitors, many bought some yarn and chatted with me. I explained and showed to some of them how to start the mesh shawl. Now I have some new yarns and will design some knits for Marianne's Mohair again.

 

Käsitöölaat Helsingis/Craft fair in Helsinki

Täna olen Helsingis Wanha Sadamas käsitöölaadal. Seisan Kässäkamari kioskis, kus on ka Marianne ja Marianne's Mohair lõngad. Saab näha uusi rätikuid, õpetusi, rääkida lõngadest jms.
Today I am in Helsinki at the craft fari in Wanha Satama. I will be standing at Kässäkamari box together with Marianne and her yarns (Marianne's Mohair). There will be new shawls, you can get patterns and discuss yarns.
