Jakk Cotton-Merinost/A jacket from Cotton-Merino

Kirjutasin siin, et proovin uut Dropsi lõnga. Sain kena ettepaneku Illelt, Mustrimaailma foorumi perenaiselt ja Dropsi õpetuste tõlkijalt eesti keelde, et võiks ära proovida ja siis teha õpetuse. Cotton-Merino on väga hea lõng, ainult värvikaardis võiks olla rohkem toone minusugusele. Näitan, mis sellest sai. Kristiina, suur tänu fotosessiooni eest!
I wrote here that I was working with a new yarn by Drops. I received a generous proposal from Ille, the head of the Mustrimaailm craft forum and translator of Drops patterns into Estonian to try out a new yarn and then to write a pattern. Cotton-Merino is a rather nice yarn, only I wish they had more colours for people like me. Here is the result. Kristiina, many thanks for the photosession!

Ei midagi uut. Või on siiski?/Nothing new. Or maybe still?

Facebookis ja Mustrimaailma foorumis olid vaatamiseks uute lõngade pildid Wool & Woolleni poes. Nende hulgas mitmed mohäärid. Loomulikult läksin vaatama, aga värvid olid hoopis "valed" (v.a. must, mida mul mingil määral kodus on nagunii). Tähelepanu köitis aga hoopis vana lõng, mis ilmselt seisis uues kohas, nii et alles nüüd nägin ära. Nimi on Taiga, 100 g/350 m, polüamiidi, villase ja mohääri segu. Värv on selgelt minu oma. Nii et selles mõttes pole midagi uut. Siiski, lõng on minu jaoks uus. Mul on juba teatud ettekujutus olemas, mis sellest tuleb.
Pictures of new yarns from Wool & Woollen shop appeared on Facebook and Mustrimaailm crafts forum. New mohair among them. Of course I went to have a look but the colours were all "wrong" (except for black, of which a certain quantity I have at home anyway). However, my attention was caught by a rather old yarn that probably had been placed in a new location so that I noticed it only now. The name is Taiga, 100 g/350 m, polyamide-wool-mohair blend. The colour is decisively mine. So nothing new from this point of view. Still, the yarn itself is new for me. I already have a certain idea what to make from it.

 

Uuest lõngast/From a new yarn

Nüüd on fotoaparaat jälle korras, saan postitada nagu tavaliselt. Sain valmis jaki Dropsi uuest lõngast. Loodetavasti tulevad varsti korralikud pildid.
Now my camera is working again and I can blog in the usual manner. I finished a jacket from the new yarn by Drops. Hopefully, proper pictures coming soon.

 

Päris meeldiv lõng, reljeefsed koepinnad, keeruga silmused jne paistavad kenasti. Kahju ainult, et värvikaart on üpris väike.
It is a rather pleasant yarn which shows well textured patterns, twisted stitches etc. Too bad the colour card is too small.

Kooskudumise tulemusi/Some results of KAL

Fotoaparaadi tagavaraosa pole veel saabunud, seega näitan hoopis võõraid pilte (pildistaja loal). Kooskudumine Ravelrys on täies hoos ja mõni on juba lõpetanud. Aljona on väga hea ja kiire kuduja, pildid on tal alati õnnestunud. Tema kampsun on pika varrukaga, erinevalt minu omast. Lõng on Alize Monte Mozaic Desing (100g/160 m, vill, mohäär, nailon, akrüül), vardad 6 mm. Tänan!
The detail for my camera has not yet arrived and for that reason I am showing someone else's pictures (with the permission of the photographer). The KAL on Ravelry is going quite well and some have completed their cardigans. Alyona is a very skillful and fast knitter and her pictures always turn out nice. Her jacket has a long sleeve, unlike mine. The yarn is Alize Monte Mozaic Desing (100g/160 m, wool, mohair, nylon, acrylic), needles 6 mm. Thank you!

 

Veel üks asi. 13. novembril kl 18 Pärl ja Lõngad poes räägime õmblusteta konstruktsioonidest üldse ja vaatame ka mõnda konkreetset õpetust. Toon kohale mitmeid sviitreid ja jakke.
One more thing. On 13 November at 6 p.m. in Pärl ja Lõngad shop we will discuss seamless constructions in general and look into some particular patterns as well. I will bring along several sweaters and jackets.

Asümmeetriline rätik/Asymmetrical shawl

Pühapäeval sai uus rätik pildistatud. Aitäh, Kristiina! Õpetus kohe tulemas.

Lõng/Yarn: ASA Gjestal Spinneri, 100 % wool, 130 g
Vardad/Needles: 4 mm
Lõnga metraaži polnud pooli etiketil. Arvan, et metraaž on 100 g/400 m või pisut suurem, aga lõng on õhulisem kui Aade Lõng 8/2, mis on sama metraažiga. Lõng on pehme. Pärl ja Lõngad poest on üsna mitu värvi, on pankrotti läinud Norra vabriku jäägid, nagu perenaine ütles.
The yardage was not indicated on the bobin. I believe it is 100 g/400 m or slightly more but the yarn is lihter than Aade Lõng 8/2 with the same yardage. The yarn is soft. You can get it in many colours at Pärl ja Lõngad, it has been purchased in a Norwegian factory that is bancrupt, as the owner told me.

Väike vaheaeg/Short break

Eile juhtus mul selline õnnetus, et läks katki fotoaparaadi kaas, mis hoiab paigal patareisid. Selgus, et selliseid vidinaid Eestist ei saa, peab otsima ja tellima. Nüüd on see lahendatud, ootan saadetist. Niikaua aga ei saa ma teile pilte näidata. Eilne rätikute tund läks kenasti, poe perenaine Katrin pildistas ja lubas pildid Facebooki üles panna, siis saan näidata ka siin. Pildistamist ootab ka roheline rätik, mida näitasin eelmises postituses. Kui on pilte, näitan kindlasti. Loodetavasti saab aparaat uue kaane järgmisel nädalal.
Yesterday something unfortunate happened, my camera battery case cover broke. I learned that such devices are not available in Estonia and one has to search and to order. Now this is solved and I am expecting a delivery. Until then I cannot show you pictures. Yesterday's shawl construction class went quite well and Katrin, the owner of the shop took pictures and promised to upload them on Facebook, so I will be able to share here as well. Also the green shawl I showed in one of the recent posts waits to be photographed. If/when I have pictures, I will show. Hopefully, the camera will get a new cover next week.

Niisiis, homme toimub kolmnurksete rätikute konstrueerimise kursus. Arutame ühtlasi edaspidiste kursuste teemasid. Sel nädalal alustasin Ravelrys selle jaki kooskudumist:

And this nice yarn is a new yarn by Drops, a cotton-merino blend. The next knit will be from this yarn. I am planning a pattern, too.
