Eile Raasikul/Yesterday in Raasiku

Soome kudujate traditsiooniline sõit Raasikule.
A traditional trip of Finnish knitters to Raasiku.

 

Ladu oli täis, sai näha mitmesuguseid ilusaid värve. Panin kohe tähele seda tumerohelist.
The storage was full and several beautiful colours were on display. I immediately noticed this dark green.

Heleroheline on ka ilus, aga mul pole oma majapidamises sellega midagi peale hakata (keegi ei kanna seda värvi). Oli ka musta-tumerohelist üleminekulõnga. Poseerin siin mõlemaga, aga võtsin ainult ühe vihi ühevärvilist tumerohelist.
The lighter green is beautiful, too, but there is no one in my household who wears this colour. There was a black-and-dark-green variegated yarn. I am posing with both of them but I ended up only with one skein of solid dark-green.

Ma ei ole unustanud lubatud kampsunit. Näitan homme.
I have not forgotten about the cardi I promised to show. I will show it tomorrow.

Kuivab/Drying

Nüüd on valmis ja kuivab. Kuna lõng on suhteliselt jäme, siis kuivamisega läheb aega.
Now it is finished and drying. Since the yarn is relatively thick, drying will take some time.

Mõlemad varrukad valmis/Both sleeves finished

Mõlemad varrukad on valmis. Küll aga mulle meeldib see muster!
Both sleeves are finished. I do really like this stitch pattern!

Alumisel pildil on värv peaaegu õige.
The colour is almost right in the bottom picture.

Nagu näete, ka nn pahupool on päris kena.
As you may see, the so-called wrong side looks quite nice as well.

Üks varrukas valmis/One sleeve is finished

Varrukas on valmis. Muster paistab kogu ilus siis, kui on juba kootud paras tükk ja koepinda on palju. Siin on varruka algus:
The sleeve is finished. The beauty of the stitch pattern becomes visible after a considerable portion has been knitted and there is a lot of fabric. Here is the beginning of the sleeve:

Arvatavasti sobiks muster ka linasele ja mohäärile.
Presumably, the stitch patter would suit well for linen and mohair.

Alustasin uuesti/I started all over again

... ja tundub, et nüüd on õige. Seda mustrit olen juba vaadanud hulk aega. Päris alguses arvasin, et sellest lõngast teen midagi just selle mustriga, aga siis otsustasin mummude kasuks ja paistab, et esimene mulje oli õige. Olen seda mustrit (või selle modifikatsioone) ka varem kasutanud. Muster on hõlpsasti mugandatav, kusjuures laiuse muutus ei mõjuta kõrgust
... and it appears to be right this time. I have been looking at this pattern for some time. In the very beginning I thought that this pattern is exactly for this yarn but then I decided to make the bobble pattern and it seems that the first impression was the right one. I have earlier used this pattern (or modifications thereof). The pattern is easily adjustable and change in the width does not affect the height.
