Varem ei kudunud mütse, sest ei kujutanud ette, milline kootud müts sobib. Viimasel ajal sain aru, et mulle sobivad kõrged mütsid. Miks, on eraldi küsimus, aga praegu räägime siiski konkreetsest mütsist.
Ealier I did not knit hats because I had no idea what kind of knitted hat suits me. Recently I've realised that tall hats look good on me. Why so, is a separate question, let us talk now about this particular hat.
I wanted some textured pattern. Unfortunately, the yarn was not suitable for that purpose. You can see in the black-and-white picture that 2 x 2 ribbing is rather visible but it is purely decorative and does not fulfil the task of ribbing. 1 x 1 ribbing did not even look good. Next time I should know that if I use this yarn, it should be combined with another yarn (for instance, some thin mohair). The hat is not particularly warm but it is fine when the temerature is slightly beyond zero. The yarn is Hauswolle Extra (Schoeller + Stahl, 100 g/200 m) and I used up less than one ball (head circumference 54 cm).
It was nice to try it and I will try more from other yarns later.
