Mohäärimets

Siin on üks mu kudum, mille õpetust tihti küsitakse. Nimi on Mohäärimets, sest sviiter on rohelisest mohäärist. Muster on väga tavaline pitsimuster, eesti pitsikudumises tuntud "Vausabakirja" nime all.
People often ask me for the pattern of this sweater. The name Mohäärimets means Mohair Wood. The lace stitch pattern is a very basic pattern, known in Estonian knitting tradition as "Vausabakiri".

Mohäär on pärit Diteksasest, millest oli juttu varem. Vardad 4 mm. Mul kulus 50 g (suurus 34-36).
The mohair is from Diteksas, the yarnstore I mentioned earlier. Needles 4 mm. I used 50 g (size 34-36).

Konstruktsioon on lihtne, Roostevesti puhul kasutasin sama põhimõtet. Mustrikordade arvu võib muuta vastavalt vajadusele, samuti pahempidiste silmade arvu.
I started from bottom. The main thing is that you have even number of repeats, in that case you can easily distribute repeats for front and back. The pattern is easily ajustable for different sizes. Purl stitches are between the lace pannels and you can adjust their number as well. In the body part I had repeats of 11 stitches (2 purl st and 9 for the pattern) and 10 stitches in the sleeves (1 purl and 9 for the pattern). CO 88 stitches, worked in round, then after 20 repeats divided the knitting where the sleeves would start, knitted separately 4 repeats, then joined again, made 1 repeat, knitted 2 rows and BO. I picked up 42 stitches for the sleeves. 40 is for the lace pattern and 2 just knit. The sleeves are 16 repeats long. I knitted a couple of rows after that and BO.
Tahaksin tänada neid, kes on minu märkmete järgi endale kudunud. Aitäh, Eila ja Helena!
I wish to thank those who have used my notes and knitted their own versions. Thank you, Eila and Helena! Kiitos!

This is beautiful! I was just wondering, what the triangle stands for (on the pattern)?
